Since she is planning on becoming a Vet she will be taking the Veterinary Medicine 4H class sometime in high school and we are hoping to get her an internship at the local vet's office. She will also start volunteering at the Humane Society. I am not ready for high school :(
Looks good! I am now homeschooling my 2nd high schooler and it isn't as daunting as it seems. I agree that it isn't fair how fast they grow up :(
ReplyDeleteMy 9th grader is going to major in Zoology and is considering Vetrinary school after that. One thing he is doing that you may want to see if available in your area, is volunteering at a zoo. It is a rescue zoo and he gets to interact with the animals and has made some good connections/references through the zoo.
Take a deep breath, homeschooling high school, while a big job, is really a breeze. Just keep detailed records and start researching colleges now. Also, check in to CLEP and dual enrollment opportunities. :)
Oh, and I see you are in Wyoming! One of the colleges on our potentials list, is the University of Wyoming, since they have a great Zoology program.
